blessed lack of rain

Before I forget, I gotta blog it.

Yesterday was a worry-ful day, needless to say that since Im a worrywart, my heart wasnt at peace. How fragile we are that we could be swayed so easily by the raging winds.

5mins before the actual lunchshow performance, it started to rain. I thought to myself that I really wasnt gonna take this standing and prayed. I know I used to say that I didnt believe in tongues but after learning so much and reading so mucha bout it, I do now. I mumbled alittle in tongues.... and claimed the clearing of clouds.
Little did I know that while I went into moberly to take umbrellas (see the doubt) when I came out, the rain was gone. the sun came out and dried the raindrops on the bench and the show started.

We had a good show despite the little mistakes the band made. the crowd was well past 100pax..arnd 140? the food I catered last minute became 1 of the better pull factors. The performers came early enough to help w setup.

The lunchshow started and ended smoothly. The emcees could do better really...
But I thank God for the blessings.

Choir practice went well etc and it only rained after I got home. The rain was so heavy that had I still been on the way home, Id be soaked all the way and I would have a problem walking straight because of the wind.

Quick update on wats happened so far.

Last Thur:
Worrying abt welcome party which turned out quite successful. The band I allowed to play, apparently didnt dissappoint. Split was good too. very professional really. But I wont need to say more coz they know they did good. :)

Last Fri:
ISFO started early. Proud of the team. I didnt do much but be there so they deserve allt eh effort. its all them. Sutomo & Siswanto rose tot he occassion and the rest of the team who even bugged me for things...did very well. really happy for them. :) Yes glitches occured but they happen and we move on. HAPPY FOR THEM!! MY CHILDREN!
God's blessings ran on them. Fair weather all the way and compliments by directors.

Last Sat:
Served in Youth Choir. Wore the wrong colour code but close enough to fake. :( Spoilt my mood though. Felt so condemned (self condemned) for being so useless as to get even that wrong. But when we went up to worship and gave our best to Him, He made hte worship worthwhile.
The DARE & ARROW worship was soooo good on with teh new choir!
Aside from the conventional church choir, we jumped and sang and jumped and sang and all for Him! We made the people who were at the service felt like worshipping Him too. To express our hearts in song..every morsal of joy and emotions into the songs for Him. That is real worship!!!
Not saying old hymns are not nice. In fact, they bring out the child in me because I used to sing it as a child. Hence when I sing them I reaally feel like I was singing it to my God as a child to her father. the workout we got from that 2 services was awesome. I perspired just serving in the choir! :) Awesome!!! :D
And did I mention that I saw one of my students as the drummer for the youth worship? And I saw Rain in my church choir too? Praise God for bringing them to Him. :)

Last Sun:
Last day before school term starts. Thinking of lunchshow I wasnt too keen but Im hyping myself up w the knwledge that God will bring me through in His rest. His peace will mmake this term a smooth one. No matter how heavy the storm blows, the people in the ark (in Jesus) will never need to worry because they are in a safe place. AMEN!

Mon:
Good to see students again. :) Good to see the year 1s. :)
SUBWAY IS IN SP! And we happen to have these 2 big ass arcade basketball machines in FC5 for now! (Stephen & Ian, you guys would love it)
Lotsa stuff starting to pile in but I'll take it in my stride!
Got a chance to meet up w Eka, Gajan, Arisya and gang. Not the most comfortbale moments coz I dont drink bbut I did miss them. :) Good to see all of them doing well.

Tue:
Went for OktoLive because it was the last show. Saw my dance instructor performing in it. Principal was there and I tried to hide. I tried to blend into the students haha
Had 3-4 clubs in my office at 1 point of time in the day and it felt like it was back to the good old busy days.

I know its not much for almost a weeks worth of time but alot fot hings are not worth mentioning on blogs. Which might mean that alot fo things are not meaningful to mention..Would that mean that a blog sorta shows how much meaningful time you have in like? Assuming that you do blog about everything that has a meaning to you. Assuming you dont hold back on menaingful stuff because it is classified.

I told God a while back that I want to be a Lighthouse for Him. Shine out to those around and lead the way to God. It doesnt necessarily take preaching because sometimes trying to evangelize with talking works in an adverse way. But by being his example..I get people interested in God. And when they ask about God, I will tell them about God's uncondemning love. :)

So while this week may be hectic....and worrying for me. I choose to cast my troubles to God and count my blessings. I confess to being a blessed child of God whom exceeds my expectations and does more than a normal father. AMEN! My clubs will do well with Him as the leader.

Lastly..to those who wanna join me for church..tell me. I willingly bring you. If you dont wanna say why I wont force you coz I may not know but God does. :)

Mad

Maybe its me. I work in a weird way...

I hit and exclaim my remarks oout loud often. It may seem very very obnoxious and irritating and improper but thats me. Maybe its coz of that and my face that I come across as angry or pissed all the time.

But I'm not. I never really am. Im forgiving and often too forgiving!

But when I realized that my student club is being dispised or looked down upon. I either get upset, discouraged or pissed. I mean pissed.

I know I want to do something but I also know that I cant please everyone. I know not everybody likes me and Ive upset alot. I dont know who my club has upset but it could very well be because of me.

And while I sit here and wonder and wish I had a way to find out who...Im so tempted to do all I can to find out...evn spend time to talk to all the members and find out if anyone knows anything and spend all the time I can to keep interogating...

But inside of me, I know I can only ask so much. Also the best way to this...is to cast to God.

In my heart, I pray that God will guide my club to be their best...to outshine alvin's and juwy's batch and even pravin's batch. That God would protect them from all sorts of enemies and problems. We have been a very very fortunate bunch. God has opened our path and opened many doors for us and we are slowly getting the recognition the club needs to do better. But as the doors open, people who dont like us get in to.
I believe in my God. I believe in His power to look after His children and the works of His children when they are cast to Him.

I cast all my clubs to Him. I ask Him to work in all their hearts..to do their best for the club..that it might shine. That other clubs will be amazed by the clubs' strength and versatility.
I am thankful for the clubs I have. :)

I know my God is watching my clubs ans everything they do. I know my God knows who has been talking bad about or mistreating the club. I know that there is nothing I can do to change their minds if htey are stubborn. But I know that if God be with me, NOTHING can be against me. And..NOTHING can be against us! Amen!!!! If needs be, God will work int heir hearts and let them see the lights.
As for me and my clubs..we will do what we can and rest in His peace!

Professor : So, you believe in GOD?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is GOD good?
Student : Sure.
Professor : Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL?

Professor : My Brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us
would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn't. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

Professor : You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella.

Professor : Science says you have 5 Senses you use to Identify and Observe the World around you. Tell me, son...have you ever seen GOD?
Student : No, sir.
Professor : Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?
Student : No, sir.
Professor : Have you ever Felt your GOD, Tasted your GOD, Smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any Sensory Perception of GOD for that matter?
Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Professor : Yet you still believe in HIM?
Student : Yes.
Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my Faith.
Professor : Yes, Faith. And that is the problem Science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as Heat?
Professor : Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as Cold?
Professor : Yes.
Student : No, sir. There isn't...
(The Lecture Theatre became very quiet with this turn of events)
Student : Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega Heat, White Heat, a Little Heat or No Heat. But we don't have anything called Cold. We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can't go any further after that.
There is no such thing as Cold. Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat. We cannot Measure Cold. Heat is Energy. Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it. (There was pin-drop dilence in the Lecture Theatre)
Student : What about Darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as Darkness?
Professor : Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness?
Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the Absence of Something.
You can have Low Light, Normal Light, Bright Light, Flashing Light...
But if you have No Light constantly, you have nothing and its called Darkness, isn't it?
In reality, Darkness isn't. If it is, you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn't you?
Professor : So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student : Sir, my point is, your Philosophical Premise is flawed.
Professor : Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality. You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good GOD and a Bad GOD. You are viewing the Concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can't even explain a Thought. It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.
To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing.

Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your Students that they evolved from a Monkey?
Professor : If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going)
Student : Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and Cannot even prove that this Process is an On-Going Endeavor, Are you not teaching your Opinion, sir? Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher?
(The Class was in uproar)
Student : Is there anyone in the Class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?
(The Class broke out into laughter)
Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it?... No one appears to have done so. So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have No Brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The Room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable)
Professor : I guess you'll have to take them on Faith, son.
Student : That is it sir...Exactly! The Link between Man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that Keeps Things Alive and Moving.
