movies!

watched Chronicles or Narnia recently and it brings to mind LOTR 1st movie. The hype is all up for a gd exciting show but it turned out to be not as exciting hahaha Yet..I must say that through the movie..what got me focused on the movie..was its biblical connottations. After watching Gattaca (my most recommended movie) and giong through film appreciation class etc etc etc..Ive come to develop a liking of focusing on details...ie: why is it that the lamp was stuck int he middle of the forest? What does that mean? Why a lamp? Why not a big tree with its autumn leaves in the middle of a winter forest? why not....a street sign? left arrow: Narnia right arrow: Evil witch's territory. Why a witch? (maybe because of eve) Why bring in santa claus, the pheonix, the faun, the half human-half horse, the griffen? All of which are mythical creatures that do not agree with the bible in any way. Esp not Santa. Why Why Why? Boy you must think Im paranoid! Hahaha
ut thinking of all this...Id love to see C.S Lewis explain his story...and how its related tot eh bible..or why he chose to put these details. BTW, CS Lewis is a popular author of christian books. He has contributed soo many books tot he christian faith that I wud be slightly surprised if he didnt relate these characters to the bible in more ways than 1. Im also wondering why they didnt make a movie of the 1st book.
